I keep saying that I need to blog more but here I am again, a month later saying the same thing. As it is the beginning of December and Christmas is approaching far too quickly for my liking, I thought it would be useful to piece together a little Secret Santa Gift Guide. I am doing Secret Santa with my work colleagues this year however, I have only been at this job for a few months so I am still trying to get to know everybody. I feel like Secret Santa can be the hardest, especially for people you don't really know that well. I'll stop rambling on now and drop some of my favorutie gift ideas down below (with links of where to find everything!).
Whilst having a wander around the market last weekend, I came across a lovely, lovely lady named Claire who makes her own candles/wax melts etc. I am a huge fan of anything Snow Fairy scented and she was selling huge wax melt snap bars for a fiver! I also know so many people who love Snow Fairy too, so I feel like this would be a perfect gift for somebody! You could even make up a little bundle including tea lights and a burner - it easily would cost less than £10! You can buy burners and tea lights from Poundland/Home Bargains etc for as little as a few pounds. I also picked up a few sample melts (which were two melts for £1) . I chose Sauvage and Alien which are great stocking fillers. This year there has been a huge hype around wax melts so I believe this is the easiest thing to buy for somebody.
One of my all time favourite small brands is Moonpiie Cosmetics. It is run by an amazing lady who makes her own products, which are cruelty free too! I have been buying a lot of my bath/skin and wax products from her for a really long time (which says a lot I think). They are currently selling bath soaks that come beautifully packaged. Everybody loves to have a nice long sock in the tub every now and again. Moonpiie Cosmetics is very versatile in the sense that they cover everything from makeup to jewellery to bath bombs. So if you're really struggling for ideas, there is also a 'Christmas' and 'Gift Sets' section to help you out!
Now the Secret Sass body mists have been sooo popular, especially on Instagram at the moment. There are so many different scents so no matter who you are buying for, you will definitely find one that suits them! You should be able to find these in the beauty section of your nearest Poundland, which is an absolute barg!!
If you prefer to buy gift sets that are quick and easy to chose, Dirty Works is the best place to look! It is another brand that covers bath and skin care to makeup and fragrances. A lot of their gift sets are quite cheap as I picked up one if the bath gift set for just £4 in Sainsbury's! I believe that Dirty Works is only available in the larger Sainsbury's stores as well as online. You get 15% off your first order by signing up to their newsletter - saving you a few extra pounds. Their Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals are also amazing, so be sure to check those out!
Another of my favourite brands is Dr Botanicals. I have so many of their products as I have found that they work wonders for my skin. They are a cruelty free brand using 100% natural ingredients (I think that is why their products actually work so well for me!). As most brands, they have pieced together a gift set full of their most popular items. The Superfood rescue kit includes 4 full sized items and comes with a beautiful beauty bag to keep them all in! The person you are buying for doesn’t need to be skin care junkie to appreciate this set as it has all of the basics to start their 4-step daily skin care regime: a cleansing bar, a facial exfoliator, a rescuing remedy balm (doubles up as a moisturiser) and a sleeping mask.
I am personally a huge fan of Lee Stafford which is another reason it is featured in this post. The lead up to Christmas, they bring out amazing gift sets. For example, their 5-piece ultimate hair mask collection is just £10! I think that is great value for money and the ideal Secret Santa gift/stocking filler! Each sachet is 20ml, decently sized and packed full of ingredients to care for their hair’s every need! Boots usually hold '3 for 2' events and these gifts sets are included! So, you could pick up a few more products, saving you more money and maybe even keep the cheapest for yourself!
If you’re buying for somebody that isn’t really into the whole beauty thing then Chocolate and Love offer delicious chocolate that would probably be better suited for them! The nine delicious 80g variants include two pure chocolate bars – 80% Panama and 71% Rich Dark – and seven others with stunning flavours mixed into them, all of which are wrapped in bespoke hand-painted designs. SIX of their 80g bars are suitable for vegans. They are currently selling gift boxes at £11.99 which includes 4 of their (huge) 40g bars and it comes beautifully packaged. I absolutely love their packaging and it is also biodegradable!! We love a brand supporting the planet! If you aren’t too sure what flavours to pick up for the person you are buying for - they have a large tin full of sample sized chocolates for just £11.99 too. They have something for every budget, as you can buy single versions of the bars for as little as £1.99 – mix and match!
